Jacintha Atkinson-Manson - Director - Atkinson Crehan Law

A true Southern Girl, Jacintha completed the majority of her schooling in Invercargill. Graduating in December 2008 from the University of Otago having completed a double degree in Law and Arts (majoring in Psychology). She then landed her very first legal position as a solicitor with Bannermans Lawyers, a local firm in Gore.

After 4 years gaining a raft of general legal experience, Jacintha followed the sunshine to the Top of the South relocating to sunny Nelson in 2013. Jacintha joined Knapps as a Senior Associate in February 2020 following maternity leave after having her first child and became Partner in April 2022.

After the disestablishment of Knapps in May 2023 along with fellow Partner Amanda Crehan, Atkinson Crehan Law was established.

Within the firm Jacintha manages our large property team. Jacintha has a fast-growing reputation as the person to see to advise on occupational right agreements for all of the Retirement & Lifestyle Villages located across the region. Jacintha is also very familiar with all the new property development happening in the region and enjoys assisting clients with the purchase of land and subsequent building of their new homes.

In her free time, Jacintha enjoys spending time with her husband and their blended family, catching up with friends and enjoying the local restaurants, wineries and beaches.
